An initiative against racism initiated by the hockey club Real von Chamisso from Kreuzberg, Berlin

Real von Chamisso launches the campaign of ‘Hockey Against Racism’
 

We, (Real von Chamisso), are a hockey club from Berlin. We are of different ages, backgrounds and have different political views. The rise in the number of racist incidents in Germany, such as the attack on a synagogue in Halle and the murders in Hanau prompted us as a hockey club to stand together  in autumn 2019.

To this end, we have developed a logo that we have been wearing on our jerseys since the last indoor hockey regional league season. With this, we want to express that we are against any form of violence and exclusion of people based on their outside physical characteristics and their origin.

We developed our logo in consultation with the DHB and the DOSB. We invite all other hockey clubs and teams in Germany and the national teams of the DHB to do the same. Let us raise our voices together against racism and stand up for a colourful, open and tolerant society in which hatred and violence have no place – human dignity is inviolable!
